SOP Oxygen Gradients for strain adaptation to varying oxygen availabilty Version 2
Oxygen gradients were developed as a quick and easy way to simultaneously adapt (recombinant) strains to decreasing levels of oxygen and monitor their progress over multiple days. This SOP can be used for o/n checks or for adaptation experiments spanning over multiple days. For the latter, a time-lapse camera setup is recommended. This SOP can also be applied to check the oxygen requirements of unknown strains.

Exploiting native endowments by re-factoring, re-programming and implementing novel control loops in Pseudomonas putida for bespoke biocatalysis. The EmPowerPutida project aims to engineer the lifestyle of Pseudomonas putida to generate a tailored, re-factored chassis for the production of so far non-accessible biological compounds. Pseudomonas putida is a bacterium with a highly versatile metabolism, including the capability to degrade or produce organic chemicals.
