I am staff scientist in the lab of molecular-genetic systems at the Department of Systems Biology, Institute of Cytology and Genetics SB RAS and Postdoc Research Fellow at San Diego State University. My research focus is dynamical modeling of gene network functioining.

I am a Deputy Director of Vinogradsky Institute of Microbiology, Russian Academy of Sciences, Moscow, Russia and the head of the laboratory in this Institute. I ams working in the field of diversity, ecology and metabolism of thermophilic prokaryotes. I'm heading the Scientific Computing Unit at Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Biology in Plön, Germany. My interest is the application of high performance and high throughput computing in data processing, data analysis, and numerical simulations of dynamical processes. I have a background in Theoretical Physics with a Ph.D. from Rostock University (2008), where I studied analytical models and numerical simulations of extremely dense and hot matter.
