Elizaveta Bonch-Osmolovskaya

I am a Deputy Director of Vinogradsky Institute of Microbiology, Russian Academy of Sciences, Moscow, Russia and the head of the laboratory in this Institute. I ams working in the field of diversity, ecology and metabolism of thermophilic prokaryotes. Together with colleagues we've described many new taxa of thermophilic prokaryotes including those of high level (families, orders, levels). I m especially interested in isolation and description of thermophilic prokaryotes with unusual types of catabolism – lithoautotrophs, anaerobes, microorganisms using diverse inorganic electron acceptors.
