About Annette Strauch-Davey:

Annette Strauch-Davey is a German cultural scientist, anglicist, and expert in Research Data Management (RDM) who works at the intersection of academia, data infrastructure, and Open Science to help researchers structure, preserve, and share their data effectively.

She completed her academic studies in Cultural Studies/European Ethnology and English Philology at the University of Göttingen, and later spent many years living and working in Wales, UK (Cardiff, Aberystwyth, Machynlleth, Borth). Today, she is active across multiple prominent German institutions, worked as a Section Liaison Officer for Base4NFDI at the DESY (German Electron Synchrotron) in Hamburg, and is working now as a research associate for RDM at the Faculty of Health at Witten/Herdecke University.

Previously, she managed RDM services at the University of Hildesheim library, worked on infrastructure projects at the University of Siegen, and contributed to digital archiving initiatives at the University of Ulm.

Bridging the humanities and IT infrastructure, she is a strong advocate for the Digital Humanities and regularly shares her expertise on data literacy, FAIR data principles, and good scientific practice through workshops, publications, and academic podcasts.
