Xenosystems biology

Systems Biology as we know it is mostly terrestrial, i.e. it deals with mainstream Life on planet Earth. There are two exceptions. One is synthetic systems biology that designs other types of Life. The other exception studies the systems that may exist on other planets, or that exists at remote locations on planet Earth. Xenosystems Biology refers to the latter exception. At present this runs projects that deal with Life as found at remote locations on Earth, which are held representative of other planets, such as Mars.
