Noelia Pérez-Rodríguez

Dr. Noelia Pérez-Rodríguez holds a PhD in Agro-Food Science and Technology and has over 6 years of expertise in the areas of Biomass Conversion and Bioprocess Technology with focus on the development of biorefinery strategies for total and sustainable conversion of biomass (lignocellulosic materials) into biobased products. Dr. Pérez-Rodríguez’s research interests include: i) biomass pretreatment and hydrolysis using chemical, physico-chemical or biological methods; ii) biomass conversion by fermentation (solid-state and submerged systems - with or without downstream process integration) or chemical routes into compounds of industrial interest including enzymes, chemicals, and biogas; iii) development of biorefinery strategies including the valorization of agricultural wastes. At present, Dr. Pérez-Rodríguez is joined to Chemical Engineering Department at Universidade de Santiago de Compostela as a Postdoctoral “Juan de la Cierva-Formación” researcher involved in EnzOx and WooBAdh projects.
