This is the abbreviated excel file used for the Thermotable calculations of Westerhoff et al (2026) FEBS J, in press entitled 'Metabolic thermodynamics: pertinent reference state and energy potentials' It is also Supplement S4 of that paper. As compared to the full file it addresses much fewer chemical species, but it does contain all the excel-based computation mechanisms, which are further explained in supplement S5 of the publication. The first sheet in this excel file is a Table that collects the standard Gibbs energies of formation (from the elements) of a large number of chemical species that are relevant for metabolism. It obtained these from a substantial number of sources, including Thauer et al and Alberty, as indicated at the bottom of the first sheet of the Table.
