The Membrane Enzymology group focuses on the molecular mechanisms of transport and signalling across biological membranes. In other words: How do molecules permeate biological membranes and how at the level of protein molecules are environmental signals s1
engineering principles and approaches from molecular biology and synthetic chemistry are applied. Confocal microscopy and various spectroscopic methods are used to analyze processes at the single cell or even single molecule level.1
